TOURISTIC ATTRACTIONS
IN THE SURROUNDIG AREA

Thanks to the location of our residence, it is easy to reach some of the main tourist attractions of the region. Some of these are really a short distance away and can even be reached on foot. Others can be visited using the car or taking part in organized excursions, but in any case they can all be visited within a half or full day.

MOUNT ETNA

Since your arrival on the island, this huge volcano with its approximately 3300 meters high, will attract your attention. Spectacular in all seasons, it will give you the opportunity to explore unusual landscapes, desertic lava flows and green woods. It is the second most active volcano in Europe and is located about 30 km from Mori Siciliani House. Easily visited thanks to the good road network or if you wish, by requesting a organized tour.

CASTEL OF ACICASTELLO
AND "LA RIVIERA DEI CICLOPI"

Leaving our residence on foot, walking through the town, you can visit the ancient castle of Norman origin. It is placed on a rugged tower of pillows lava and from its top will enjoy a fantastic view of the coast up to Acitrezza and its Faraglioni. Acitrezza is connected to Acicastello by a pedestrian path that develops along the coast and it's only 2minutes far away by car. Those who wish to do so, can reach the protected area of the Faraglioni also by an excursion by rubber dinghy .

TAORMINA

The most famous of the Sicilian tourist resorts, located 40 kilometers from Acicastello. Scenically perched on a beautiful promontory on the Ionian Sea which is the background of a beautiful panoramic view of the coast and Mount Etna. Panorama that the ancient Greeks used as a background of their beautiful theater located a short distance from Porta Messina. Its alleys, its shops and restaurants, the beautiful sea and the magnificent glimpses left in your mind indelible memories.

SYRACUSE

Only 60 kilometres from Catania, there is Syracuse, once a powerful city of ancient Greece, today a splendid seaside town with magnificent vestiges of classical Greece. The vast archaeological areas, the majestic Greek theatre and the island of Ortigia make it one of the main Sicilian tourist attractions.
